How to prepare for a transaction at the Municipal Hall
Most transactions at the Municipal Hall do not need an appointment. What they do need is the right documents, brought to the right office, during office hours. The four steps below cover almost every visit.
Preparation
Before You Go
A few minutes of checking beforehand usually saves a return trip
Check the requirements
Most transactions have a document checklist. Reviewing it first is the single biggest time-saver — an incomplete set is the usual reason for a second trip.
Find the right office
Different transactions are handled by different offices within the Municipal Hall. The directory lists what each office does and where to find it.
Come within office hours
Municipal offices generally follow regular government working hours, Monday to Friday. Confirm the hours of the specific office before travelling, especially around holidays.
Ask ahead if unsure
If your situation is unusual, or you are travelling a long way, send your question in advance and we will point you to the right office and the right documents.
Accessibility
If You Need Assistance
Senior citizens, persons with disability, and pregnant women are entitled to priority service at government offices. If you need assistance to complete a transaction — because of mobility, sight, hearing, or any other reason — tell us in advance and we will arrange support at the office.
