How we handle personal data submitted through this website
The Municipality of Naic respects your right to privacy under Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012. This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
This website collects personal data only when you choose to give it:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, telephone number (optional), subject, inquiry type, and the contents of your message.
- Site analytics. Aggregated usage data — pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type — collected through Google Analytics. This is used in aggregate and we do not attempt to identify individuals from it.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined in the Act through this website.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your inquiry and route it to the correct municipal office.
- To keep a record of requests made to the municipality, as required for public administration.
- To understand which information residents look for, so we can improve this website.
The legal basis is the performance of a task carried out in the exercise of the municipality's mandate as a local government unit, and your consent when you submit the form.
Where it is stored
Contact form submissions are stored in a managed database service and are accessible only to authorised municipal personnel. Analytics data is processed by Google. Some of these providers process data outside the Philippines.
How long we keep it
Contact submissions are retained for as long as needed to act on the inquiry and to satisfy records-retention rules applicable to local government units, after which they are disposed of securely. The specific retention period is set by the municipality's records policy.
Who we share it with
Your data is shared internally with the municipal office handling your inquiry. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We disclose data to third parties only where required by law, court order, or lawful request from a government authority.
