Preparedness
Before, During, and After
Naic is coastal and partly low-lying. Flooding during the monsoon and tropical-storm season is the hazard most residents will face.
Before
- Know whether your barangay is low-lying or coastal, and identify the nearest evacuation centre.
- Agree on a meeting point and an out-of-town contact with your household.
- Keep a go-bag packed during the June-to-November rainy season.
- Follow PAGASA advisories and your barangay officials for local warnings.
During
- Evacuate early when advised. Do not wait for water to rise before moving.
- Never wade, swim, or drive through floodwater — depth and current are deceptive.
- Switch off electricity at the main before water reaches outlets.
- Stay off the roads so responders can move.
After
- Return only when authorities declare the area safe.
- Treat all floodwater as contaminated. Boil or disinfect drinking water.
- Watch for leptospirosis symptoms after wading, and seek care early.
- Report damage and missing persons to your barangay for consolidation.

What to Pack
- Drinking water and ready-to-eat food for at least three days
- Flashlight, spare batteries, and a battery or hand-crank radio
- First aid kit and a week of any regular medication
- Photocopies of IDs and important documents in a waterproof bag
- Phone power bank, whistle, and a change of clothes
- Cash in small denominations
